Superstars recall the first Royal Rumble Match

Taking place Jan. 24, 1988, the first-ever Royal Rumble Match featured only 20 Superstars and was won by "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. (WATCH) Little did anybody realize at the time that the match, which was broadcast on the USA Network rather than pay-per-view, would lay the groundwork for one of WWE's most enduring match formats. A quarter-century later, the WWE Universe looks ahead to Royal Rumble 2013.
